Another news story mentioned that life in Florida is pretty much back to normal, i.e., no masks and no mandates. Except for tourists who take a few days to adjust but quickly do. Perhaps the snowbirds will bring their enlightenment back home with them.

Hate to say it but Quebec is a black stain on Canada. It feels like 59 jurisdictions are remaining calm and this place decides it will up the ante. Unbelievable.

I apologize that I'm posting before I've completely read the article (I've only read the top 1/3) but I think this is quite important. The information comes courtesy of Alex Berenson and the internet archive (archive.org). The Gov. of Alberta posts vaccine outcomes on their webpage, the most recent is here:

https://www.alberta.ca/stats/covid-19-alberta-statistics.htm#vaccine-outcomes

Scroll to the bottom of the page and you see that the last item is 'Figure 11: Current non-ICU (top) and ICU(bottom) by vaccine status'.

Now take a look at the same webpage from archive.org for Jan. 1, 2022:

https://web.archive.org/web/20220101000507/https://www.alberta.ca/stats/covid-19-alberta-statistics.htm#vaccine-outcomes

Again, scroll to the bottom of the page and yousee that the last item is 'Figure 12: Time from first dose (left) and second dose immunization (right) to COVID-19 diagnosis by age group'

In figure 12, you can clearly see that in the 20 days post vaccine dose, especially for dose 1, there is a huge spike in deaths. After the 2nd dose, the spike is smaller. It appears that for some time after the shot, people experience a weakened immune response and experience more severe outcomes. Of course, after the 1st shot, these people are included in the unvaxxed category and are a huge contributor to 'pandemic of the unvaxxed' when in fact they are not unvaxxed, the have received shots but their immune response is poor. This is highly misleading and contributes to the fear of and loathing of the unvaxxed.

It isn't clear why Alberta dropped this table, at least as for as a good reason goes.

I'm sure the same is happening across Canada even in Quebec.
