Vaccinate, fools, vaccinate!

A response to the Western University mandate

Western University has just released a policy excluding from campus all persons who are not vaccinated against Covid-19.  Government authorized proof of three-dose vaccination must be submitted in order for any student, staff, or faculty member to fulfill his or her duties, from 1 October. Moreover, no one engaged in the work of Western, even as a visitor, may visit the campus without such proof.

"The purpose of this COVID-19 Vaccination Policy," we are told, "is to provide all members of the University community with a safe and healthy work, living and learning environment consistent with the University’s legislative obligations."  That the approved injections or therapeutics do not prevent infection or transmission, a fact known from the beginning to those who make them and now known to everyone, is simply ignored. That these same therapeutics are dangerous (sometimes fatally so) as well as ineffective is likewise ignored.

While much of the world is waking up to the fact that a vast fraud has been conducted through the Covid-19 "pandemic measures,” Western remains fast asleep. Or at least that is the charitable explanation. It is possible that Western has been corrupted by the fraud, rather than sedated by it. Access to information requests, rigorously pressed, or information leaked (as recently in Israel, for example) may help to answer that question.

Those trapped in the Western ghetto—one notes that the gates have been shut just as term begins, making alternative arrangements difficult—have three options, beyond the passive option in which they risk their health and abandon their rights to comply with a putatively health-based policy.

If they choose the passive option, allowing others to decide for them both what "health" means and that "health" should trump everything else, they are sheep to the slaughter, both medically and politically. At this stage of things, their very passivity condemns them.  But they needn't do so. They can instead take legal action, whether individually or through class-action suits. Or they can take collective action in the form of protests.  Alternatively, those who are students can de-register.

De-registering will hurt some more than others, to be sure, but compliance will hurt all. In any case, the institution in which they are currently studying gives every appearance of being the very opposite of a university. It looks like an asylum in which the corrupt, the cowardly, and the credulous prevail. The education they can expect from it can only be an exercise in the development of such unhappy traits.

Examining the policy, I can find only one bit of good news. The third definition of adequately vaccinated specifies “three doses of a non-Health Canada authorized COVID-19 vaccine," subject of course to some official proof thereof. Why this is good news I will briefly explain.

In May 2021, by which point it was already clear to anyone paying attention that we weren't dealing, properly speaking, with vaccines—never mind safe and effective vaccines—the CDC dropped the traditional definition of vaccination, viz., "the act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease."  The new definition says nothing about immunity: "the act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce protection from a specific disease."

And what, now, is a vaccine? It is simply "a preparation that is used to stimulate the body’s immune response against diseases." While "usually administered through needle injections, some can be administered by mouth or sprayed into the nose."

That being the case, here is my recommendation to colleagues and students at places like Western. While pondering some more decisive action, take advantage of this loophole. Get thee to a government-approved liquor outlet and fetch thee some Guinness. Take it through the mouth (or, if you're careless, the nose) at least three times and present the receipt as proof of vaccination. For greater certainty, as the lawyers say, you might like to offer them a video as well, proving that it was you who actually received the vaccine. You might even arrange some public vaccination parties, since nothing is private any more.

I will add the traditional disclaimer, though in today's “university”—I'm still awaiting an official redefinition of that term—they don't bother any more: The above is neither legal advice nor medical advice, and certainly not a mandate of any kind. It's just a touch of common sense. If it's unsolicited and unqualified medical advice you're looking for, or a coercive mandate that defies the legal principles of the Charter or the Privacy Act or even the Nuremberg Code, well, you need look no further than your local asylum.
