On this Solemnity of St Francis, the OT lection is from Sirach 50. I will quote it here in part, albeit without commentary, which should not be necessary: "The leader of his brethren and the pride of his people was Simon the high priest, son of Onias, who in his life repaired the house, and in his time fortified the temple. In his days a cistern for water was quarried out, a reservoir like the sea in circumference. He considered how to save his people from ruin, and fortified the city to withstand a siege."

Thank you, Dr. Farrow, for this excellent article which brings sanity to the insanity.

I wonder how much it cost to bring the block of ice from Greenland to Italy, and how much fuel was used in order to do that?

Another great article from Dr. Farrow. I will only add Pope Leo is a worthy successor to Pope Francis' seamless garment catechism as evidenced by his recent response to being asked whether an inveterate pro-abortion senator should be receiving an award from the Archdiocese of Chicago. (Spoiler alert: opposing the invasion of your country by immigrants is just as bad, if not worse, than supporting abortion.). As our Lord proclaimed, some demons can only be exorcised through fasting.

Yes, there are certainly other problems here beside the climate change problem. He was formed in a milieu corrupted by the 'spirit' of Vatican II and it shows.

So glad I'm a (permanently) lapsed Catholic. And here I thought that the last guy was off his rocker.

To be lapsed is a very odd - and dangerous - thing to be glad about.

Very well said, and boldly. Though I really have a hard time seeing Leo as essentially meaning to do the job of a Pope, only misguided on a few issues. He essentially lacks the will to BE the pope, to fulfill the duties of office. He is a Naturalist and Immanentis at core. I have heard nothing he has taught that can be recommended as safe teaching leading to salvation. I take no pleasure in this being true.

Francis and Leo are discrediting the Church to usher in the new world religion for the new world order; they must be part of the great reset, aka the great transition. Utter scandal and disgrace, but not shocking or surprising as the Church has for so very long suffered from, understating it, poor leadership at many levels.

The Church has suffered from poor leadership and much else. But I do not share your inferences and conclusions, nor am I suggesting an equation between the instincts of the previous pope and that of the present one.

Thanks for the link. I am familiar with JN and will watch some of this. I don't doubt the problem. I do doubt the familiarity with the problem on the part of many church leaders.
